We took this video last year from the top of the San Cristobal Hill in Santiago. The view you as you can see is breathtaking. The easiest way to get up there is to ride the funicular from the bottom of the San Cristóbal Hill.
The ride takes about 15 minutes and the funicular also stops at the Santiago Zoo. If you want to avoid crowds best to go up in the afternoon. We went in the morning and we had to wait about 40 minutes for our turn. I passed by the funicular stop in the afternoon a few days later the lines were empty and there was no wait time at all.
