We left Puerto Rio Tranquilo around noon due to the fact that there was no petrol available in the local COPEC petrol station earlier. The road conditions are pretty bad almost all the way to Coyhaique and there are plenty of roadworks slowing you down. The scenery makes up for your troubles though. There are plenty of miradors on the way and we passed by some truly beautiful landscape. The whole trip took around 5 hours
The paved section starts at Cerro Castillo so is traffic starts building up once the road conditions get better.
