In this post I would like to feature a very little know viewpoint on Koh Samui. I myself was looking for this place for quite a while. There are no signs from the ring road showing which way to go, however once you are on the right road signs will appear to show you the way. Now the challenge is to find the right turn to that road. The easiest way to explain this is if you come from the Fisherman Village towards Mae Nam, pass the traffic lights, and take the 1st road on the right which looks like a major road. Canopy adventures is also that way so if you see the canopy adventures sign you are on the right way.
Driving up is quite steep, parts of the road is missing, I would suggest you only try this drive you are an experienced motorbike driver. When I was driving up it started to rain and got very slippery. In terms of engine power if you are alone a 125cc automatic bike will take you up there quite happily. Driving up there takes about 20-25 minutes and the paved road ends in a dirt road just about 1km further from the restaurant.
It is kind of unfortunate that there was nobody in the restaurant ( maybe I was too early ) so I couldn’t try their food, however the views from its little terrace are indeed breathtaking. Finally please see the photos I took on the way and from the restaurant below.
