Now this is a bit off topic. We have experienced that many bars “employ” westerners to get more customers. All you need to do is watch out for the “staff wanted” signs. Needless to say these are non-paying jobs however you get free booze, free food and free accommodation.
We have talked to some guys working in one of these bars all they needed to do is to hang out in the bar, talk to people on the streets to get as much customers as they could. Generally daytime is free so you can go tubing as work starts in the evening however you do not serve customers or work behind the bar just “sell” the place by walking the streets and talking to fellow westerners.
Most of these guys were drunk most of the time 🙂 We unfortunately didn’t try this kind of employment but I am sure that it can be fun and kinda deadly to the liver 😀
