Egyptair review

Hi Everyone,

We had a wee trip with Egyptair to Bangkok last nite. I would like to point out a couple of upsides and downsides… I am still very jetlagged so I apologize for the spelling mistakes, really 😀

Budapest-Cairo:

The flight was smooth and the plane was in a very good shape it was an Embraer 170 and it left and arrived on time.
Proper food for no extra $$
Staff had very limited English skills ( they did even worse than me can u imagine that )
They kept on bumping in me when they passed by ( I had an aisle seat )

Cairo Airport:

Extra checks everywhere I felt like in a movie in a random South American country in the seventies.
Every guy kept on staring at my girlfriend’s boobs.. and she wasn’t even wearing anything out of the ordinary. When we went to the smoking room I have asked her to put a hoodie on… I am not exactly sure if the Arabic boys are very fond of their own rules 😀
Shoppingwise… U can buy alcohol and basically almost anything on a very high price. A coffee did cost us like 4EUR.
Transfer was OK. Not a lot to walk, not easy to miss, etc

Cairo-Bangkok:
Now this was a very old plane.
No proper entertrainment on board. They did play a couple of movies on very small shared screens.
No BOOZE is being served. This is quite annoying as I used to have a couple of beers and gin tonics before I fell asleep on a long-haul fight.
They ask everyone to shut the window blinds when they serve the first meal. The good side of this that you won’t realise that it is noon by Asian time already when you wake up.
Uncomfortable chairs…
This flight was also quite on time. No delays.
2 meals proper portions.
